A Beautiful Set of Tags by Claire Stead
We are delighted to present the first project by our new design team member Claire Stead! She is here today sharing a set of three gorgeous tags that she made using images from Tracy Verdugo’s Love Lives Here Artist Series pack. Claire was captivated by Tracy’s gorgeous angel figures and thought that these tags were the perfect way to showcase their beauty.
Here is a description of the Claire’s creative process in her own words:
I started by adding watercolour wash to the background of my tags to give them beautiful, saturated colour. Next I used a variety of stencils to co-ordinate (and contrast) with the background and most importantly, to showcase Tracy Verdugo’s beautiful angel figures. (From her Love Lives Here pack.) I also added a small area of white paint to create an area of calm for each angel to sit on. Next, I stitched around the border and also stitching a heart onto each tag. Then I incorporated a white stamped circle onto each tag for some added interest. Finally, I placed quotes on each tag that I think fit well with the angelic theme. I hope these tags are just the inspiration you are looking for today!
