Art, like Morality . . . by Michelle Liptak

Hi everybody!  It’s Michelle here today sharing another page that I made for my chipboard art journal.  And this time I used the Faces and Figures stack!

I just love the hand (printed on tissue) from this stack and knew that I wanted to use it as the centerpiece of my page.

I decided to use fall colors for my October page, and thought this amazing hand worked perfectly with them.  So . . . I started by creating my background with paints, paper scraps, and stencils that I have in my stash. Next  I added the hand (printed on tissue) using the technique that Heather outlines in her video “The Lowdown on Using Tissue Paper” under the ArtStacks Essentials tab at the website. I added my title, which is a quote by Gilbert Keith Cheesterton, that I think goes so well with the image.  Finally, I finished my page with some white and gold splatters.

And voilà . . . my October page is complete!

I used the following stack:

WOW, Michelle!  Your art journal page is amazing and represents fall so well.  Thank you!
