Be a Mermaid by Tina Hois

Hello creative friends,

I’m Tina Hois and I’m here today to share an art journal spread that I created using Tracy Verdugo’s Under the Sea pack:

Here’s how I made my page:

I selected the beautiful sun image and the mermaid as my focal points.
I cut two strips of the same paper and glued them down on the page to make my background.
White paint and a circle stencil completed the background.
For the next layer, I used modpodge to adhere the various pieces of tissue paper.
Next, I glued the mermaid and fibers to the page.
Finally, with my personal handwriting, I finished off with the quote – “I’m going to change the world~ But today I’ll just Be A MERMAID.”

I just adore all of the beautiful art in Tracy’s pack. There is so much inspiration here and so many possibilities!!!
