Paula Perry is back today sharing an absolutely gorgeous mixed media art journal spread that is very meaningful to her:
She tells us how she made it in her own words:
“I started making my art journal spread months ago in my Kraft journal when I created my background using yellow and orange paint, a stencil, and a spatula. I adhered the tissue paper face from the Faces & Figures pack to a piece of music paper and added it to my page. The next thing you know, life happened and my page was left uncompleted for a few months! I finally decided to finish it by adding the beautiful butterflies from the Tissue Backgrounds pack to the top of the woman’s head.
I adhered tissue flowers from the Anemones & Friends pack to music paper and added them to my pages. I took a chipboard figure from my stash and used it as a template to trace two figures onto gorgeous background paper from Deb Weiers’ Wonky Backgrounds pack. I cut them out and added them to my pages along with a brown figure with a heart from the same Wonky Backgrounds pack.
I gave my pages some final touches then added a quote that spoke to me from Tamara Laporte’s Fabulous Faces pack.”
Wow, Paula! Your art journal spread is amazing. We can see why this is so meaningful to you!
