Be Whoever You Want To Be by Paula Perry

Hello, it’s Paula, and I’m here today sharing an art journal page that I made using one of the gorgeous new Artist Series releases by Tracy Verdugo.

I really love the beauty of both of these new releases, but I chose to work with Tracy’s Under The Sea pack.  Her underwater theme is amazingly different from the usual, and was super fun to create with!

I was instantly drawn to Tracy’s image of the mermaid, so that’s where I began.

I started by using my own art journal background that had some stamping and stenciling. After fussy cutting the mermaid, I die cut some elements using dies that I had on hand with Tracy’s background paper. Next, I added the tissue-paper fish and seaweed to my page.

I felt that it needed a touch more colour, so I used some of my new embossing glaze.  Here is a close-up of my page highlighting the tissue paper fish and the glazed areas.
