Christmas Card Recipe #2
Ingredients:
- ArtStacks Christian Christmas MiniStack printed on cardstock
- Corrugated cardboard
- Card blanks
- Red paint
- Stitching (optional)
- Twine
- Chipboard stars
Costs:
- Christian Christmas Quotes MiniStack – $3 for the printed version (around $2.20 USD) or $2 for the digital version (around $1.50 USD) and you can print this as many times as you like.
- Card blanks – These range in price but are often around 50 cents to $1 each. Making your own from cardstock is even more economical.
- Chipboard stars – around $4 a pack. These ones are from Dusty Attic.
- You will probably have everything else in your stash.
Method:
- Choose your quotes from the ArtStacks MiniStack and cut them out. Tear across the bottom of each one.
- Colour in the star and the ampersand in colours that contrast to your card.
- Use watered down paint to flick paint onto the card face. If you used paint to colour the star and ampersand, use the same paint to flick with.
- When the paint is dry, stitch around three edges of the quotes. Alternatively, just draw a black line.
- Wrap a piece of coloured twine around the bottom of the quote and tie it in a bow. Leave long ends hanging.
- Attach the quote to the corrugated cardboard and the corrugated cardboard to the card.
- Add chipboard stars to finish.
The stack I used is the Christian Christmas MiniStack printed on cardstock:
