Hello Crafty Friends! It’s Chaitali here today and I’m sharing my project that I made using the fabulous Lorraine Haight Moraine Artist Series stacks! I found that they are just perfect for the vintage look that I wanted to create.
I altered a book to look like a piano and added a vintage mixed media scene in it. Here is my finished project:
For this alteration, I used the “Altered Ancestors” figures from the Lorraine Haight Moraine CoreStack. I created the top background using the bright blue background cardstock from the same stack along with some lace. For the bottom background I used the vintage book paper from The Homemaker Corestack. I added elements to the main focal assemblage using the vintage music sheet from The Homemaker Corestack and the transparent windows from The Doors and Windows Corestack , (along with gears, chains and other small metal embellishments and found objects.) I backed each window with the blue translucent paper and the yellow background cardstock from Lorraine Haight Moraine BackStack. Finally, added the quote “Be Uncommon” from The Words of Wisdom Ministack.
Here are some close-ups:
I hope my project inspires you to create something beautiful using ArtStacks.
