Hello everyone at ArtStacks. It’s Leanne here. How has the start of 2021 been for you? I hope you have found time to sit back and enjoy some quality 1:1 time with your ArtStacks and have been getting your craft on!

Today I’m sharing a little scrapbook page featuring the new stacks, The Homemaker and The Dressmaker, together with some pieces from Anemones & Friends and Inspirational Words.

I started out with a couple pieces of patterned paper and grunged one up, stacked it on the bottom piece and stitched it together. Then I added some stamping. Next, I got out some ArtStacks pieces and went to work.

I used the vintage book paper with printed roses from The Homemaker stack, ripping the bottom to create a torn end and then stitched around it. Next I fussy cut (clearly not super carefully) the set of roses out of the pianola roll and layered them up… (watch this space on the roses).

Next…

I ripped a piece of pianola roll from The Homemaker stack, then added a ruffle from The Dressmaker stack (seriously how easy are those to use) and stitched both together and added my photo.

And well then I got stuck into the creative process and forgot to take some photos along the way.

I went about combining pieces from both of the new ranges and just randomly layering…. BUT one thing I can say for sure is it was way to PRETTY for me! So I scraped a heap of black paint everywhere, splattered on some distress oxide over the top and I can tell you from that point on the page was starting to feel more.. ME..

Instead of rambling on and on, I will get right to showing you the finished piece….

Yes the bunch of roses looks like it ended up in the same position but trust me it was taken off and trialled in several spots before it came to this final resting spot.

I added the words “Embrace Life” from the Inspirational Words stack and half a butterfly (which I grundged with some white) from the Anemones & Friends stack.

I am really interested to hear your thoughts.
