Hi everyone! It’s Sharon here and I’m sharing a Christmas themed scrapbook page that I made using both the Happy Scraps and Full Deck Artist Series packs by Shana Bebeklis!
I absolutely love using Shana’s packs! One of the reasons is that her beautiful images are printed on different kinds of wonderful paper, like tissue paper, mixed media paper, and cardstock making them perfect for my Christmas themed scrapbook page.
Also, the Full Deck pack comes with a page of words and quotes, which I used for my photo labelling:
First, I picked a favorite photo taken on Christmas day in 2012. Next, I got out a piece of 12 x 12 watercolor paper. You can use any size you like, I just happen to love 12 x 12! To make my background, I watercolored various shades of turquoise/green going from dark to light. After that dried, I machine stitched my photo with strips of beautifully colored paper, hearts, and a tag from Shana’s Happy Scraps pack.
To give my page a festive feel, I added a strip of tissue paper music:
Next, I die cut the Christmas tree using one of Shana’s cardstock pages from her Happy Scraps pack and decorated it with stickers from my stash.
Under the tree, I added a banner using mixed media paper from the same pack:
I fussy cut and watercolored the banner, then added letters to form the word “dreams.”
Here is a close-up of the tree:
Finally, I added my title and some black paint splatters to complete my page.
I really had fun making this scrapbook page and hope I have inspired you to create something using Shana’s new packs, too!
And I’d like to share that I’m very excited that my page was published in issue 6 of The Scrapbookers Journal page on Facebook!
