Laugh, Imagine, Wonder by Paul Perry

Hello all from Paula! Today I’m sharing an art journal page created to show how you can use some of the fabulous ArtStacks papers in unique ways.

For this page, I initially sprayed through a stencil, then added a cut piece of the vintage dressmaking paper from The Homemaker stack.  I did more stencilling and splattered some ink around, before adding the transparent window frame from the Doors & Windows stack. I cut out a cluster of roses from the pianola paper from The Homemaker stack and added it to my background. I topped this with one of the girls from The Dressmaker stack and I gave her some Tim Holtz wings. The final addition was the 3 words, laugh, imagine and wonder, as my title. These can be found in the Faces & Figures stack.

Paula’s tip: Think outside the square about how to use papers. Instead of using the whole printed pianola roll page, I fussy-cut the roses from it and got a cool punched-hole effect on them.
