Hello creative friends. It’s Tina here with a quick journal layout for the days we want to just want something pretty on our pages. My gorgeous focal image and the cute little house are from Tracy Verdugo’s Love Lives Here pack and the quote and leaves are from the Trees & Leaves pack.
I started by creating a background with stencils then I glued down the main image and the little tiny house. To add further detail I used a black water colour pencil to create lines and doodles.
I also opted to add water colour to the leaves and I love how they turned out. The mixed media paper accepts the wet paint perfectly and it dries to a beautiful finish.
I wanted to ground the page using black and mimicked Tracy’s arty marks found on the image (black with white dots).
To pull the page together I added some random marks (once again pulling colour from the image) and the phrase, which is on tissue paper from the Trees & Leaves pack.
