Sanity Time by Paula Perry

Hello, it’s Paula!  I’d like to share my art journal page, entitled Sanity Time with you. I used two Artist Series Stacks:  Deb Weiers Wonky Backgrounds stack as well as the Lorraine Haight Moraine BackStack to make my project.

I decided to make the title of my page “Sanity Time” because I seriously don’t get enough of it!  When making this page, I realized that I’m completely grateful to be on this DT, because it forces me to make the most of my spare time. What about you?  Do you struggle with time?

Getting back to my project . . . here’s how I made my art journal page:

I used a page (from my art journal) that I previously started and had stenciled images. Because it seemed a tad busy for my taste, I adhered a piece of used striped paper from Deb Weiers Wonky Backgrounds stack on top of the stenciling.  This particular piece had three holes cut out, and I liked that effect.  Next, I traced chipboard figures that I had in my stash:  one onto a wonky background from Deb Weiers‘ pack, and the second onto the pretty blue paper from the Lorraine Haight Moraine BackStack.  I fussy cut both figures and edged them with with pens, then adhered them to my page. (In addition, a lovely friend gave me the white leaves, which just had to include.) Next, I journaled down the right side of the page. (Which was about me promising to make more “arty time” for myself!  Ha-ha!) My title, “Sanity Time,” was cut from the “words page” included in Deb Weiers’ Wonky Backgrounds pack. Finally, I added some ink splatters around my page.
