Shine Like the Whole Universe is Yours by Claire Stead
Claire is back today sharing an absolutely beautiful two-page art journal spread that she made featuring our gorgeous Fabulous Faces and Artsy Animals packs by Tamara Laporte.
Claire describes how she made it:
I started by creating my background with a heat embossing technique (using a text stamp and clear embossing powder) to act as a resist. Then made use of watercolour paints and stenciling (using various colors that I had on hand) and allowed the background to dry. Next, I attached the prime focus of my page: Tam’s beautiful image of the woman from her Fabulous Faces pack. I extended it (using pens and matching colours & patterns) onto my second page because I wanted to make sure that Tamara’s stunning image was the big focal point of my page! I also added some tissue paper butterflies from her Artsy Animals pack around her hair. Finally, I incorporated dots using a black pen, dotty stamping, and I added text stamping, too. I finished up with an uplifting quote from the Fabulous Faces pack.”
