Hi everybody! It’s Claire Stead and I’m here to share how I made my latest 2-page art journal spread. It was fun to make it using my own Colourful World Artist Series pack!
- I started by choosing to use my square watercolor journal. I decided to embrace the colour on one page and contrast it by using black and white on the other side.
- Next, I picked two images from my Colourful World pack. I cut them to the same size to give my pages symmetry.
- Starting with the colourful page, I used water soluble pigment sticks to add colour. I stencilled dots and marks over the top using a mark making stencil.
- On the black and white side, I added black stripes down the page and sprinkled them with white dots. Then I stapled black and white hearts (from the same pack) onto my page.
- On both sides, I used double sided tape and staples to adhere the images.
- Finally, I chose a quote (also from my Colourful World pack) to use as my title, and added it to the colourful side. In contrast, I used a white pen and wrote “Not all black and white” on the other side.
- That’s it! This spread was so fun and easy to make!!
Claire used her very own pack to make her page:
Your art journal spread is stunning, Claire! Thank you.
