Hi everyone. It’s Michelle here today sharing the latest page I made for my chipboard art journal!
This time I used the image of the door from the Doors & Windows Cardstack and the title is from the Doors and Windows Corestack. (I have to say that I absolutely loved creating with these images!)
I started by using a glue stick to adhere the image of the door from the Doors and Windows Cardstack to my chipboard journal page, and then added some collaged bits to resemble the peeling wall. I layered the vintage wallpaper (the stuff that looks weaved) and crackle paste over the paper to merge the image into the background. I always love trying to come up with paint colors that blend with the image so it all flows together. I did that mainly on the left side of my page, then added some crackle paste to cover the last bits of collaged seams. I also felt the crackle paste added to the distressed look.
Finally, I cut out and adhered the words for my title from the Doors and Windows Corestack. (I think this sentiment goes perfectly with the image!) I added a little charcoal pencil coloring around the edges to complete the look.
