Two Unique Cards by Annie Sharland

Hi all. Today I am sharing my first two cards as an Artist Team member for ArtStacks. As you can imagine, I’m thrilled to be a part of this fabulous team!

I made my cards from the beautiful The Homemaker CardStack. I was attracted to this set by the stunning flowers and wonderful quality and variety of the papers.

For my first card, I went with a very unusual design. I covered each of the panels with papers from the stack.

I added a second layer of roses and leaves to the centre of my card for extra dimension and I cut out a phrase from one of the vintage book pages in the stack to make my sentiment.

My second card was made with the same stack. There are 8 pages in this stack so I’ll be able to make lots more!

I started with a 6 x 6 inch base and added torn strips of the vintage sheet music and some of the printed canvas paper. In the stack there is a stitched strip of roses canvas paper which I pleated and stapled in place. The pleats formed pockets to hold little messages or flowers. More flowers were fussy-cut and placed inside the pockets. The large rose on the background came printed on vintage pianola roll paper which creates such a cool effect.

I made both cards with The Homemaker CardStack.
